Jordin To Perform At Wisconsin State Fair

Here's an upcoming performance at the Wisconsin State Fair for fans that live in Milwaukee.

"American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks has been added to the Potawatomi Bingo Casino Main Stage lineup at the Wisconsin State Fair, officials announced.

Sparks, who has garnered a Grammy nomination and an American Music Award, appears at 6 p.m. Aug. 8. She has had several chart-topping hits, including "Tattoo," "No Air" and "Battlefield."

Sparks tickets are $15, $25 and $35. Tickets go on sale starting at 9 a.m. March 6 online at wistatefair.com or at the State Fair Administration office in the Tommy G. Thompson Youth Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. starting Saturday. Admission to the Main Stage shows does not include admission to State Fair.

The 2010 fair runs from Aug. 5 to 15.

I know it's been an extremely long time since I posted. I don't really have an excuse, I have been caught up with senior year and I've wanted to push myself away from anything that involves work. I did want to give a fresh look to the site though, as I was getting tired of looking at that old layout! So here's a new one, hopefully not up for too long since I'm not that fond of it.

In Jordin news, she was in the "We Are The World" Remake music video. I'm still trying to spot her (although I think she's on the top row somewhere near the middle), but here it is for you all to see:

Jordin Sparks Opening For Britney In Houston

I'm making an update to say I attended the Britney Spears concert 2 days ago (Wednesday 9/16) and Jordin opened for Britney. Even though that was the entire reason I went, it was still an overall amazing show.

Jordin played 6 songs total. I was a little upset because after she finished, there were still 22 minutes until the main event started, I really wanted to hear No Parade, Was I The Only One, The Cure, something more haha. But here is the setlist:

1) One Step At A Time
2) Walking On Snow
3) S.O.S. (Let The Music Play)
4) Battlefield
5) Tattoo
6) No Air

It was honestly so good. She did an amazing job live, as should be expected considering we have all seen her outstanding performances on American Idol. She was lively and fun and really got the audience involved, going around the stage and singing to different parts of it. I was all the way up in the top seats, but I had my binoculars out so I zoomed in and got to see her pretty up close. After the show started, I wish I would have bought closer seats (or well, my friend since she bought the birthday tickets) but it was still enjoyable. I will recommend to anyone who goes though, spend more money to get the better seats. It WILL be worth it!

I really hope Jordin does her own tour soon, she did such an amazing job on this one and I'd really love to see her live again and get to see her perform more songs.

Fans Upset Jordin Via Twitter

Here's an article about how fans have been complaining to Jordin about conflicting schedules and missing shows lately. I can understand where the fans are coming from, but I agree with Jordin.

Apparently fans of Jordin Sparks were upset that she is performing with both the Jonas Brothers and Honor Society and missing concerts to also perform with Britney Spears on her “Circus” tour and has reportedly missed some concerts due to illness.

Sparks sent out a Twitter message last night stating, “Guys please stop saying ur dissapointed in me 4 not being @ a show. Brit & Jonas @ THE SAME TIME isnt easy. I cant be everywhere @ once! :/”

She continued on to Tweet, “We have 2 juggle tour dates w/ stuff I've already confirmed. I'm not doing it because 'oh I just don't want to play there'..no way. I LOVE performing for you guys..you should know that. But things change and my schedule is ALWAYS changing. I just wanted 2 Get that off my chest bcs Ive been getting a lot of that this week & its irritating when I'm trying my best 2 keep up. Anyway, tonight Was amazing & such an experience I will never forget! I'm signing off now. Ottawa tomorrow!!! :) Goodnight twittlets! <3”

Jordin ended her Twitter night with the following statement to her fans, “Im still gonna keep working even if it kills me bcs its what I love to do. I hated not being able to perform those shows… i wasn't mad, just explaining why I wasn't at some shows and am at others. :)”

Sparks has been on tour in numerous cities performing almost every night since June 20th, opening for Britney and performing with The Jonas Brother’s. This past week Sparks announced she was ill, but still performing via Twitter, “Sinusitis! But my vocal cords are great, which is such a relief! Show 3/3 of the Circus tonight! :)”

Jordin can't be in 3 places at once, nor can she always guarentee that she will not fall ill. Things happen, and I think some of these fans should be more supportive of her.

Jordin Sparks To Join "The Circus"

This is so so exciting, seriously. For those who do not know, Britney Spears' current tour is "The Circus," following her album "Circus" and now Jordin has signed on to be the opening act for a couple of performances!

Britney Spears may be the ringmaster, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for another vocal powerhouse under the big top.

Brit's official blog announced today that Jordin Sparks is joining the second leg of the Circus tour, signing on just in time to hit all of the U.S. hot spots including New York, Los Angeles and two nights in Las Vegas.

Following in the footsteps of former Circus openers Ciara and the Pussycat Dolls, the 19-year-old American Idol champ could not be more thrilled about the pair-up, exclaiming: "Britney's show is incredible and for me to be a part of it is a great opportunity."

Sparks released her hit sophomore album, Battlefield, in late July and just wrapped up the North American leg of the Jonas Brothers world tour.

I thought it was kind of strange at first, but now I think it's amazing because they are coming to MY CITY! I'm totally going to the show, or well hopefully anyways haha. Here are all the tour dates and locations that Jordin will be a part of:

Jordin: It Was Dumb For American Idol To Let Paula Go

Yes, the title basically says it all but I totally agree with her. Here's a little interview that went down at the Teen Choice Awards Gift Lounge recently.

Jordin Sparks is not happy about the Paula Abdul situation over at American Idol.

"It was dumb on American Idol's part," the winner of season six told us earlier today at 102.7 KIIS-FM's Teen Choice Awards gifting lounge at the W Hotel in Westwood. "I love American Idol and I respect them. It's because of them that I got my start, but Paula was one of the original judges. She helped soften the blow for contestants when we didn't do well. I love Paula.

"The show will definitely not be the same without her, and I feel bad that future contestants will not get to experience having her on the show," she continued. "I'm so sad."

But when the going gets sad, the sad go swagging. Among the free loot that Ms. Sparks picked up at the lounge were a Disney Couture skull wrap, some Too Faced Lash Injection mascara and Metal Eyed Liner and a Graffeeti Remarkable backpack.

I completely agree, it's going to be a completely different show now and I really don't think anyone can ever replace her or show contestants the same sentimentality that she has.

They release a new issue every month that features cool articles on celebrities, including celebrity interviews, and they have a team of awesome aspiring high school and college journalists that work on it.
