TMZ reported that Jordin's brother got a tattoo to show his love! I think it looks pretty awesome and it's good that he's getting someone's name who's permanently part of his family, rather than one he might want removed later. Here's a pic:
It seems like it would hurt getting it on your wrist, but it's cool that they have matching tattoos (just opposite arms).
Here's some info on an upcoming show Jordin is doing that focuses on raising awareness for heart disease! Tickets are not on sale yet (unless you know Oprah's promo code) but will be very soon.

Here's an interview they did last week in a teleconference with Jordin! Also, THE GALLERY IS BACK UP AND RUNNING! thanks to the awesome support team from my host. I will be working on updating that sometime in the next week or two!
Q. We loved the story you mentioned a while back where you said that when you turned 16 you weren’t necessarily excited to get your driver’s license; you wanted to audition for Idol. How has it lived up to your expectations, being the two last out of 103,000?
A. It’s so crazy; it’s something I always wanted to do and then I auditioned and I made it and I was surprised because I mean, when you walk into those arenas there are thousands of people and you’re like, oh my gosh, I only have a one in a ten thousand chance of making it. So I was really surprised when I made it through that round and then Hollywood round came and I made it through that and then I got to the top 12; everything has been surprising me and now that I’m here it’s just so amazing because I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do so it’s really amazing.
Q. You're a fan of both football and basketball. Why did you turn to music, were you also playing football or basketball?
A. Yes, before I started just focusing solely on the career I was playing softball in eighth grade and I was playing basketball so I was just having a lot of fun with that. I wasn’t the best person on the team, but I loved playing and I loved being a part of a team. So it was really fun and it was really hard to have to decide either or, but I’m really happy with what I chose so everything is all good.
Q. How has this experience changed you? Do you feel different in any way?
A. You know what? I feel like this whole experience has made me stronger and a better person. I can handle so much more than I thought I could. I mean, they throw a lot at us and it’s pretty intense, but each week I go out there and I get the criticism and I get the praise or whatever and I don’t know; I take what I can get from it and then I put it towards myself or towards something that I can use in the next week and I don’t know, overall I think it’s just made me a better person and a better performer and able to emote better and I’m just so glad I’m going through it. It is kind of intense, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I would post the full thing but it is actually quite long! Make sure to read it though, Jordin goes back to her Idol days and discusses more of what went on with the show.
I realize there is an issue with the gallery and don't worry, I am working on getting it fixed right now! Until then, check out this article on Jordin and Steph Jones' relationship:
Could Jordin Sparks be ready to take her relationship with close pal, singer-songwriter and ex-model Steph Jones to the next level?
"We don't know whether or not to go further or to just keep the friendship," the singer, 19, told PEOPLE Tuesday night at the 57th Annual BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills, where Jones was her date. "It's crazy. We've got the feelings, but we don't know whether or not to say it out loud."
One thing is for sure: The fellow keeps her feeling bubbly. "He's a really good guy," Sparks says. "A lot of fun." So how did the two initially link? Sparks proudly admits she was the one who made the first move.
Met Two Years Ago "I met him two years ago," she recalls. "He was writing for Blake [Lewis], who got second place [on the sixth season of American Idol]. I was like, 'Can I get your contact information because you are a songwriter?' I was still working on my album and he was the only person I knew in L.A., so every time I would come I would say, 'Hey, you want to hang out?' "
And hang out they did. "My parents have met him and everything already," she says. Recently the pair have been seen cheering at the May 6 Lakers vs. Rockets basketball game at the Staples Center and slow dancing to Michael Buble's live rendition of "Me and Mrs. Jones" during the Gamble and Huff icon tribute at the BMI Pop Awards. "We've gotten really close," Sparks confirms.
For now, whether the two will start dating officially is still up in the air. "We'll see what happens," says Sparks. Until then, one thing is certain: She will tour with the Jonas Brothers starting June 20 in Dallas.
Aww haha, I think Jordin and him would be a good couple, I remember when rumors surfaced last year about them being a couple and they denied it! As I said then, as long as he treats her well!
Yes, the moment we have all been waiting for (or well, I think a lot of us have been anxious about it haha)! Jordin has named her next album:
Whilst speaking to Q100 Atlanta after her Idol last night, she confirmed the name of her sophomore album is "Battlefield". She said she decided it because everyone has a battlefield in day to day life whether its at school, work or with the kids. The shoot for the album happened on the 10th May.
Producers and writers include Stargate ("Irreplaceable", "Unfaithful"), Dr. Luke ("Circus", "I Kissed A Girl"), Max Martin ("So What", "If U Seek Amy"), The Underdogs ("No Air", "Listen"), Claude Kelly ("Forgive Me", "Circus"), Lucas Secon ("I Hate This Part"), Toby Gad ("Big Girls Don't Cry", "If I Were A Boy") and Jesse McCartney.
Possible duets include Jesse McCartney and Leona Lewis. Both artists and Jordin have both expressed interest in recording together.
The date may have changed from July 14th, however in the same interview Jordin did confirm it for a July release.
In case you missed that, it's
"BATTLEFIELD"
I'm really excited for this, I'm not so sure about the title honestly but I love the single and I'm excited to see how amazing the rest of the album will be!
I'm rewatching it now and my dad is waiting for me to hurry and get back, but here's a clip I found really quick. It's not the best quality but this performance was seriously AMAZING!
She looks AMAZING and she sounds AMAZING! There is no way this single can do horrible, it's got to shoot to the top. Remember, check the post below this to buy and support now!!!!!
Buy it now! It's available on iTunes and she'll be performing it on American Idol tomorrow night for the results show! Show your support and make sure her single sales for it shoot through the roof!
Ahh, this is exciting. Today school got flooded out so I have some time to update. Here's some news about Jordin's FIRST single off the new album, which I'm sure is going to be amazing.
American Idol winner Jordin Sparks is prepping her sophomore release and according to music insiders, a song titled "Battlefield" will lead off the disc.
The mid-tempo R&B track was written by Grammy nominated producer/songwriter and One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder, whose long list of accolades includes hits for Ashanti, LeToya Luckett, Timbaland, Jennifer Hudson and Rihanna.
Jordin is set to perform "Battlefield" during the Top 3 results show on American Idol.
A few months ago Sparks updated fans via her YouTube profile, stating that they can look forward to seeing more “upbeat” dance tunes on her second album, which will sound more like Beyoncé meets Rihanna.
Sparks’ self titled debut album is certified platinum in the U.S. The disc produced hit singles “Tattoo,” “No Air” featuring Chris Brown, and “One Step At A Time.”
Here is what PopJustice.com had to say, since they got to listen to it:
We had a listen to the new Jordin Sparks comeback single earlier today. Here is what we have to report about the song.
» It is called 'Battlefield'.
» It is written by Ryan Tedder.
» It is sort of mid tempo R&B.
» Its chorus ends with a big cry of "why does love always feel like a BATTLEFIELD! LIKE A BATTLEFIELD! LIKE A BATTLEFIELD! Why does love always feel like a BATTLEFIELD! LIKE A BATTLEFIELD! LIKE A BATTLEFIELD!"
» To start with you think 'this isn't up to much' then by the end of it you think 'this is going to be Number One for precisely 2.5 months'.
» There is a brilliant middle eight where everything falls out and it's just Jordin bellowing "LIKE A BATTLEFIELD! LIKE A BATTLEFIELD!" and then it all crashes back in and THEN it all falls out again AND THEN it all goes back in again and it's all jolly good.
DO NOT MISS THE RESULTS SHOW! I cannot wait to hear the new sound of the album and I really hope it's catchy and will get people psyched for the new album. Plus we'll see who the final 2 are, I'm hoping Allison is in there personally!
Jordin To Headline Benefit Concert For Valley Youth Theatre
This is great. Jordin will be one of many stars to perform at a concert where proceeds will go to helping the Valley Youth Theatre program, yes the very program Jordin was once a part of.
