Can Jordin Conquer The UK?

My opinion? Heck yes she can! I think Jordin will be a huge hit there, and her album is definitely going on to sell a bunch.

America's answer to Leona Lewis is in the UK. She's called Jordin Sparks and hopes to be as big here as Leona has become in the United States.

And she's got a chance too - just like Leona, Sparks is a Pop Idol winner.

Jordin won American Idol - the US version of Simon Cowell's show - in May 2007 at just 17 years old. Since then her career in America has rocketed. Now, she needs to break the UK.

"It's going pretty well I think." she told Sky News. "We've been having a really good time here. Things have been busy. My schedule's been packed, but I've gotten a really good response so far. It's been good."

Her first hit, 'Tattoo' was only released as a download over here. It made it to number 50 in the UK charts in April.

For that song at least, she had the right song-writers for UK success. Tattoo was co-written by the talent behind James Blunt's hit, 'You're Beautiful'.

But this isn't America.

"I don't know what to do," she said.

"I don't even know how to break the United States. I just sang a song and put it out there.

"It was the fans and the people who helped me achieve the status I have now. They're the ones who request it on the radio."

The Next Two Months...

In the next two months of July (what's left of it) and August, I have some things that I hope to get finished on the site, or at least get to a state where they can be opened for all you fans that visit. Here's a little checklist, so that you can all get an idea of where I'm at and why some things may be taking so long:

Goals:
• NEW LAYOUT. First things first, I really want to get a new layout up because this one is getting a bit old and I'm getting tired of the colors. This will probably go through soon hopefully.

• MAJOR GALLERY UPDATE. I really want to update the gallery with as much as I can, including way more HQ photos of events that are already in the gallery in MQ. I have the access to them, it's just I have to find the time to save them all and add them to the site. This will come over time, I'll add to it gradually until I'm all caught up, or as caught up as I can be. I will also be contributing to the Miscellaneous category, which I have completely neglected since I first put up the gallery last year.

• VIDEO ARCHIVE. Yes, I have been working on a video archive where fans of Jordin can watch all and only Jordin Sparks videos. A full and complete collection of them, streaming live from the site. This is already in the process but takes a lot more time than I originally thought it would. It will open soon though, I hope, even if it isn't fully loaded with all the videos I have.

• LYRICS ARCHIVE. I need to update this so that it includes the bonus songs as well as the lyrics to Jordin's previous EP, For Now (which is really good). This may come sooner, as it's just updating a few pages.

• MAIN SITE REVAMP. I am hoping to update all the information pages to add things that have happened since their last update. Especially the Facial Expressions and Trivia pages, and possibly even the Style page. I also hope to add tons of media, including icons/avatars and banners/sigs, all that sort of stuff. I have been seriously slacking in the media department and all fans deserve a much better selection from this site.

• INTERVIEW SECTION. I currently have all the news available in archives, but I don't have all the individual interviews Jordin has done set aside for fans to read, and I'd really love to get a section for that since she has so many that she has done. I do have some saved in proper Q & A format on the site, so I may start there and gradually add to it.

Anyways, I hope this helps you all understand why it is taking me so long to really make a huge update. If I go on vacation for even just a few days, I'm way behind in news and photo updates. So, except for one more trip to a camp for 4-5 days later this month, I won't be going anywhere and will be working hard to make this site the best source for Jordin Sparks.

New Photoshoot

Jordin To Tour With Jesse McCartney

While I was gone, there were many reports of Jordin's next big tour. She just keeps going and going!

Riding high on her current single “No Air” featuring Chris Brown, Jordin Sparks has found another tween with soul to team up with over the summer. Sparks will join Jesse McCartney for the Jesse & Jordin Live tour slated to kick off August 5th in Sacramento, California.

"I am really excited to be going out and sharing the stage with someone as talented as Jesse McCartney," Sparks said. "He brings a soulful voice, heart of gold and his good looks to the stage every night, and I can't wait to share it with him."

McCartney who co-wrote Leona Lewis’ hit record “Bleeding Love” recently released his third studio effort “Departure” where the pop singer teamed up with The Dream, Sean Garrett, The Clutch and J. R. Rotem.

"Jordin has the most incredible voice," says McCartney. "She's one of those pure talents you don't see a lot of in this business. I can't wait to get out there with her."

The Jordin & Jesse Live tour will run through roughly sixteen dates including stops in New York, Denver, Los Angeles and Toronto before coming to a close August 30th in Greensboro, NC.

I'm putting up the new touring schedule as soon as I finish with this post. And I will update the gallery soon with pictures I missed while I was gone. This is just awesome, two big musicians that she tours with in one year, I'm excited for Jordin!

BET Results

The results of the show. Basically, Jordin did not win any of the big awards unfortunately, but her and Chris both won a preshow award:
