One year after Jordin Sparks was crowned the 2007 American Idol champion, the 18-year-old singing sensation is taking the music industry by storm. From landing her second spot on a major national tour alongside Alicia Keys and performing the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLII to winning Outstanding New Artist by the NAACP Image Awards, the thrilled newcomer is taking her “Idol” success to an astonishing new level.

The young star, whose hit single No Air topped the Billboard Pop charts, opens up to Jet about her recent vocal cord hemorrhage that could have ended her career. “That was one of the scariest feelings I’ve ever felt,” Sparks recalls. She also discusses the latest Internet gossip that she was recently married to her ‘alleged’ boyfriend, singer/model Steph Jones. “I’m only 18-years-old. I’m not getting married for a while,” she said. (p. 44)

The results of the show. Basically, Jordin did not win any of the big awards unfortunately, but her and Chris both won a preshow award:

Jordin To Perform At SCERA Center

This Wednesday, Jordin will be performing at the SCERA Center in Orem, Utah, so if you happen to be somewhere near there on Wednesday don't miss the opportunity to catch Jordin live!

Here's an article about the performance that is also giving some very nice feedback to Jordin and her album:

I know, I know. Besides Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, "American Idol" winners haven't had the best track record for putting out worthwhile music. But Jordin Sparks, somehow, has bucked the trend, despite being the youngest "Idol" winner ever. Her debut album produced undeniably catchy songs, such as "Tattoo" and "No Air," and now comes another radio-dominating hit: "One Step at a Time." With so much air time being devoted to Sparks, we might as well call her Air Jordin. She performs Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre, 699 S. State St., Orem. Tickets $15 ($10 children 11 and younger, seniors and students), available at 801-225-ARTS, www.scera.org, or at the gate 90 minutes before the show.

The 2008 Atlantis LIVE Concert Series launched with spectacular performances by Fergie and Duran Duran.

Next up: American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks who just released her new hit single "No Air".

Atlantis LIVE performances are for Atlantis guests in an intimate setting of about 1000 people.

Jordin Sparks will perform July 25th.

Jordin's Interview With FuseTV

I got a request in the last comment for Jordin's interview with Fuse. Well I found one, from her Fuse On Demand appearance, so I hope this is what you were looking for Audrey.

As for the Much On Demand one, I'm going to browse around the internet and hopefully I will find something. At the moment I do have a link but it can only be viewed by Canadian residents, I'm working on finding someone who can hopefully get it for everyone.
